The Hillary Rollneck, in royal navy, takes its name from the first man to climb Mount Everest, Sir Edmund Percival Hillary.

Born in New Zealand in 1919, Hillary was a prolific modern-day explorer, diplomat, writer, and philanthropist. He served in the Second World War as a navigator for the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) and later went on to organise the epic climb of Mount Everest in 1953 with Sherpa mountaineer Tenzing Norgay, as well as the climbs of ten other Himalayan peaks in the 1950s and 1960s.

In later life he became Ambassador to Nepal, as well as New Zealand’s High Commissioner to India and Bangladesh, and received countless awards and honours from countries around the world.

This traditionally designed rollneck has a high waistband, drop shoulders and double cuffs. Made from 100% British Wool in the UK.
